​This workshop focuses on the proposals for establishing a list of standard products for balancing capacity for frequency restoration and replacement reserves and the co-optimised allocation process of cross-zonal capacity for the exchange of balancing capacity or reserves' sharing.

Stakeholders will get insights about the Agency's proceedings related to these two proposals, the discussions within the Agency, regulatory authorities and Transmission System Operators (TSOs); as well as being able to express their views on these proposals. The workshop is organised in the framework of the two public consultations:

  • ACER Public Consultation on establishing a list of standard products for balancing capacity for frequency restoration reserves and replacement reserves.

  • ACER Public Consultation on establishing a co-optimised allocation process of cross-zonal capacity for the exchange of balancing capacity or sharing of reserves.

Background

On 17 December 2019, the Agency received the proposals of all TSOs in compliance with the EU Regulation establishing a guideline on Electricity Balancing. The deadline for these decisions is 17 June 2020.
