​This workshop focuses on the proposals for establishing a methodology for classifying the activation purposes of balancing energy bids and for further specifying and harmonising the imbalance settlement.​

Stakeholders will get insights about the Agency's proceedings related to these two proposals, the discussions within the Agency, regulatory authorities and Transmission System Operators (TSOs); as well as being able to express their views on these proposals. The workshop is organised in the framework of the two public consultations:

  • ACER Public Consultation on establishing a methodology for classifying the activation purposes of balancing energy bids.
  • ACER Public Consultation on further specifying and harmonising the imbalance settlement.​​​

Background​​

On 14 January 2020, the Agency received the amended proposals of all TSOs in compliance with the EU Regulation establishing a guideline on Electricity Balancing. The deadline for these decisions is 14 July 2020.​
