Public Workshop on CZCA Methodologies for the Hansa, Core and Baltic Capacity Calculation Regions

Online, 20 April, 2021. From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Webinar Objective: ACER presents and discusses the cross-zonal capacity allocation (CZCA) methodologies for the Hansa, Core and Baltic CCRs with stakeholders, in order to take informed decisions.

Early in 2021, the National Regulatory Authorities for energy from the Hansa, Core and Baltic regions asked the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) to decide on the respective cross-border capacity allocation methodologies for the exchange of balancing capacity in their regions. These requests follow the Articles 41 and 42 of the Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 establishing a Guideline on Electricity Balancing (EB Regulation).

ACER launched on 12 April 2021 a public consultation in order to collect comments from stakeholders on these methodologies and take informed decisions. Find out more about the Public Consultation.

In this public workshop, ACER will present the methodologies and its proposals for amending them, providing clarifications on the questions of the public consultation, as well as seeking stakeholders' input on the topics of their interest.
